Celestine Engel Koh Siew Min
So.. this is the 1st part of a tribute to myself that i specially made for my coming 17th birthday... and what should I say about myself... oh.. i know.. MY BIRTHDAYS ON 23 NOV!! haha. Okok.. probably everyone already knows that.. i've been mentioning it in almost all of my posts and in the tagboard.
1.1 History
Born on 23 nov 1987, I live all my life on top of a hill somewhere in Paya Lebar with my parents, grandparents, sister (who is currently in Australia) and maid (which we change almost every 2 years).
Went to a kindergarten near my house followed by CHIJ-OLGC(pri), Yuying Sec(sec1), CHIJ-SJC(sec2-4) and now TP(yr1). I was from the brownies in pri school and then in band in sec school.
Found out that i didnt realli have a childhood coz all i did when i was young was go school, watch tv, sleep and eat. I seldom went out as both parents are working and only when grandparents feel like, then they would bring my sister and i out.
Born a catholic, although i know that i am not very holy.. or should i use devoted.. i still go mass every sunday without fail and pray to God everynight.
1.2 Intelligence
hm... ME... i admit that i am not study smart.. esp when it comes to a math...but my intelligence still managed mi to pass my PSLE n O'Levels... although my grades are not very good.
so i've got to be street smart... let mi tell u why i say i am street smart.. haha.. er... usually during s.h.o.t.s. gathering.. im the one leading the way...and most of the time, its the correct way (the exceptional was the 80 bus incident)..haha.. okok.. and i learnt how to make this blog without any one teaching me about html stuff... and i feel so proud of myself... i also learnt how to operat the sewing machine myself too...so does that go under being street smart.. or am i just intelligent!
1.3 Skills
I was introduced to music in sec 1 when i could not find a suitable cca to join, so i decided to join the Yuying Concert Band. It was partly due to my interest in music and also coz the other cca's were either too boring (library) or tiring(bball)... Im glad that i join the band and learnt how to play the saxophone, alto Sax btw.
Then when i went to SJC, made friends with maxilian and her sister was teaching piano, so i decided to learn the piano too.. you might think that learning piano at sec 3 is too late.. but its never too late to learn a new skill, as long as u have the determination and drive.
Now, im also currently a student in Music Clinic, learning how to sing from Peter Tan. I must say that singing is more then just noise coming out from your mouth, its actually much more then that.. all the tactics and all those...
I also feel that i am rather good with my hands.. haha... eg.. making the waistbag for s.h.o.t.s. and baking brownies.. haha.. maybe soon can learn how to make a cake.. with the cream and fruits all those.. haha
1.4 Character
What shall i say about my character.. Being a saggitarius.. i must say that i realli look to the brighter side of life..saggitarians are known to be happy people with sometimes crazy ideas.
I do not like boring lifestyles like those 9-5 jobs which you have to look at computers all day doing the same stuff.. i prefer challenges and changes.. so thats y i chose to study hospitality and tourism in temasek poly.. coz my future job is to interact with people and not computers.. haha
I feel that i have alot of thoughts that go through my head.. thoughts about the education system ( that too many people are studying for that cert and not make use of what they have studied to apply in their work), peoples character, ( that cherene sometimes think too much about those small details and although i've given her an explanation.. she still thinks over it [eg. when maxi said she was very angry in the blog, you became very anxious]) and much more.
I am also not vain but i mustnt look untidy. I am not a ZI LIAN KUANG that looks at my reflection at watever opportunity i have. I am most particular about comfort.. dun like my frindge to block my view and wear long pants that make me hot. esp tight fitting jeans... haha..
1.5 Hobbies
hahaha... hobbies... WATCHING TV!!! cartoons are nice.. they really entertain me.. actually discovery, animal planet and the national geographic are also nice channels to watch.. but it must probably depend on the topic too.. as for variety shows.. they are also one of my favourites... esp those taiwan productions.. they rawk~
hobbies.... hm..... shopping if i have the money.. it feels good to be able to buy cheap stuff that look nice... haha.. listening to music.. I DUN DOWNLOAD.. either i buy the cd.. or dont listen.. or just watch channel 51 [MTV] haha...usually listen to rock and r&b.. or anithing that sounds nice....
Coming online could be counted as a hobbie ba... when i have nothing else to do at home.. i would switch on the computer and come online... either chat with frens on msn.. or play yahoo games.. want to buy stuff online @ ebay or yahoo auctions but unfortunately i do not have a credit card.... haiz...
So.. let mi see.. i think i have nothing else to rite... i shall continue my tribute tml about my family... cya!
